Recording a DDN Videoconference Session
- Make sure the VCR/DVD combination device is plugged in and powered on.
- Ensure that the VCR/DVD is set to Line Input #1 (L1).
This can be done using the channel up/down arrows, scroll the channels up past the last available channel listed or
below the lowest channel listed. L1 or Video 1 should appear. OR use VCR/DVD input select button to choose Line 1 input.
- DO NOT unhook or reconfigure cabling on back of VCR/DVD or Polycom codec.
- Place VHS VCR tape into recorder.
Note: The VCR/DVD combo will play both VHS tapes and DVD's. However it will only record on VHS tapes.
- Start recording by manually selecting the record button on the front of the unit OR select the REC. button on the
units remote control
Notes:
You will be recording the same image that you see on our system monitor, you may want to scroll through different views
on the Polycom to find the type of view that you would like recorded. This is done by pressing the "PIP" button on the
Polycom remote.
It is recommended that you record a short clip of video and play it back to ensure everything is set correctly and you are
recording what you think you are recording.
See "Playing DVD or VHS video from the VCR/DVD Combo".
